Alt+Ctrl+T   open Terminal  



1.sudo add-apt-repository ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp



2. sudo apt-get update



3. sudo apt-get install gimp





Uninstall GIMP image editor:-



1. sudo apt-get install ppa-purge



2.sudo ppa-purge ppa:otto-kesselgulasch/gimp
